Hand#1 i pushed, my question is are we pushing atc here, is it ever a fold?

Hand#2 after some thought I found a fold my reasoning was i fancied i was racing against at least 1 of the villains in the hand and felt i had an edge at the table. Also the loser of the hand was going to be in pretty bad shape and i felt this fold almost guaranteed me a top 2 finish.
Was my thinking here flawed, should i have gone for it instead?
