\'hey dude\' prop bet won.
earlier in the night i made the claim i would dominate him in jeopardy/trivial pursuit.
roommate comments on how hot ben stillers wife is. i say 'she was bangin on hey dude'. he says 'good ol melody'. i say, "quick trivia challenge. what was the name of the indian dude on hey dude". hey correctly says 'danny'. then naturally the followup - "who played him?" roommate is stumped and says "you got me. who is it?" i tell him "(name edited*)" he says no effing way is it (name edited). there is no effing way that is his name" i am pretty unsure at this point, but we decide to bet on it. i get him to lay me 2-1 on 5 bucks. so we look it up. yahtzee naturally for me. would you have nailed this question? *answer in white: <font color="white"> Joe Torres </font>

[/ QUOTE ] Interesting. The show was so classically cheapo Canadian I'm surprised it got put on american tv. Funny to see where some of those kids ended up. Buddy on TWN, the blond wavy haired girl now on Reba (actually american oddly enough), Elisha Cuthbert of course, the girl from American Dreams, the chick from the clueless tv show and road trip, not to mention all the actors from the episodes themselves like Neve Campbell and the cute girl from Everwood, among others. So many Canadian actors got their start on this show. Loved it as a kid.

"Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was broadcast on Nickelodeon as part of SNICK (Saturday Night Nickelodeon)
Other Nickelodeon shows I watched: Clarissa Explains It All (dunno why I watched it, it was terrible) Double Dare Guts (another terrible show) Wild and Crazy Kids You Can't Do That on Television (another Canadian import, very well done for a kid's show) Salute Your Shorts Sixteen (this teen soap opra type show that only lasted a few seasons, it was good...) and a bunch more of course
