Default lets talk 5/10 limit online vs 10/20 live

I know variations of this are often covered, but I need little advice.

I used to use stats software online but now play at a fishy site that doesnt allow them. I have been two tabling mostly 5/10 but will range from 3/6 to 10/20 if the the game is juicy. The games are profitable for me. I'm going to estimate an avg of 2.5BB/100

I am an hour from a card room (French Lick, IN). The room is struggling, but I understand it is very fish on weekends. I have played in cardrooms a grand total of 4 times. I would like opinions on whether it is more profitable for me to hit the cardroom on the weekends or stay home and play on-line? I'm well-rolled, but would not feel comfortable playing anything over 10/20 no matter what the venue.

The live game is probably softer but you can get in a lot more hands on line. Two tabling I'd estimate 3x, maybe 4, the number of hands per hour. So simple math. Well assume 100 hands per hour online and 35 live. Online 10/20 will get you $50 per hour. Same win rate live gets you $17.50 (note - typical live win rate is about 1 BB/hour. Maybe you can doa little better?) and thats before tipping. You'll need to up your win rate by the amount of hands per hour reduction to stay even.

Adjust the numbers if needed and you can decide if it's worth it.

Good Luck

Try the 10/20 live. My guess is that you will kill it. Probably not for as much as multi-tabling but it is just so much more fun live.

My experience is that 10/20 live plays more like 3/6 online.

My experience is that 10/20 plays more like 1/2 online. 2/4 online is equivalent to 20/40, and 3/6 online is like 40/80 in a casino. Just my experience and opinion.

And oh yeah, I play at stars only, so you have to adjust for this site vs the games at the Borgata and Taj in Atlantic City, where I play live.

There is very little danger of encountering $10-20 LH at French Lick.

My sample size is small YMMV.
