Default Partypoker problems

partypoker either totally lagging my comp out or totally freezing up. Have to control/alt/delete to get rid of it.
Tried re installing same problem. Anyone got any helpful suggestions?
Other poker programs work fine on same comp, FTP, PS etc.

Tried the search function but could not find anything relevent so sorry if this has been brought up before

Try setting your display to use 16bit colour and also turn off font smoothing. I made a post about this a couple of months ago so just search for "font smoothing" and you should find the details.

I was also finding that emptying my temporary internet files before each session seemed to help to some degree when the other tricks stopped working.

All I know is back in Jnauary I had no lagg, but sometime in March/April Party did something which started to cause it and it still hasn't been fixed yet (others started to suffer from crashes at about the same time..).
