Re: 33,000 calories in a day
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Remember the three chipotle burritos in 15 minutes thread? At 1500/1800 calories a pop, I'm sure some people might be able to handle one every hour... I sure couldn't, but it sounds possible. -ChipsAhoya [/ QUOTE ] each one has that many calories...wow, news to me... [/ QUOTE ] Nah, its more like 1200, at least for my standard order: burrito, steak, rice, pinto beans, medium salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce http://www.chipotlefan.com/index.php?id=chipotle_calc |

Re: 33,000 calories in a day
Seeing as fats are the most calorie dense food and oils are essentially pure fat, at 120 calories per tablespoon your friend would have to consume the equivalent of 4 liters of vegetable oil to reach almost exactly 33,000 calories.

Re: 33,000 calories in a day
[ QUOTE ]
I would say not possible. The key would obviously be to find the least filling food with the most calories...what are some good options? [/ QUOTE ] Sugar is going to do you pretty well because it digests fast and doesn't make you feel sick/full like fats. Also it doesn't clog up the intestines. You can down sugared fruit juice to wash down everything else you're eating. Being over 17 hours instead of 8 makes a big difference. I think this is definitely doable over 17 hours. 8 hours I'm not sure, I've never tried anything like it so hard to say. You have to think it's just 10 big/bad meals over 17 hours, that's almost 2 hours between each bad meal. Might be best to just eat steadily over the whole period so your blood sugar doesn't go up & down and put you to sleep. ps. 33k calories is 17.5 cups of olive oil. That sounds scary. |

Re: 33,000 calories in a day
Maybe this is easier than we thought.
The record for mayonnaise is 128 oz. in 8 minutes ( http://www.ifoce.com/records.php ), which corresponds to 25,000 calories ( http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calorie...QxNSZwYXI9.html ) So if somebody can eat 25K worth of mayonnaise in 8 minutes, it shouldn't be too hard to eat just a little bit more in a day. I definitely would not have the stomach for it, but a good eater with enough financial incentive probably could. |

I haven't ever really witnessed him eating anything really crazy and I'd bet that he's never taken in over 6-8k cals in his life...

[/ QUOTE ] If uses something like olive oil or mayonnaise, I think he might be able to do it. But if he uses plain old junk food like Chipotle or McDonalds, I don't think he has much of a chance. |

Re: 33,000 calories in a day
a small cheese cake is 2000 calories... I can't imagine that he could do this without either getting very sick or vomiting.
