Are you serious? You telling me if someone deposited say 50,000 dollars into party, they paid you 5000 a month which would total 60,000 a year and your account would show 110,000 by end of year?

How long did this last for? Thats like too good to be true. I never heard of that.

[/ QUOTE ]

It was true. I can verify. It didn't last long.

No it was 10 percent per annum. They would have to be a pyramid scheme to pay 10 percent per month. I know someone who got 1000 a year for keeping 10k in their account. I got the same 10% but since I never kept any money in Party I got nothing. They also had a cashout restriction of 2 times a month.

10% a year is still pretty good.

To be fair, it's not a million miles from printing money these days either...

yeah bt if some big thrusted poker site would give me 10% profit over my bankroll, i would get most my bank account on that site for a year. The only 2 risks are of it getting hacked (small chance if its not a spooky site) and u having no self control and gamble it away.

Yeh, no doubt: I would infact get as many loans and zero (or at least, sub 10%) interest credit cards as I could, and stick it on the site...

Shame that in 2002 I was playing PS and didn't know Party existed...

It should not be forgot that "back in the days" Party was nowhere near to being as reputable as they are now.
Back in the days, Starluck, Planetluck and tons of other sites maximized their profits by stealing players' winning, harassing people who tried to cashout etc.
Even though most of that had already changed for the better in 2002, if for some reason this whole online gambling thing collapsed, the whole money would have been gone for good.

I can't even imagine the awesome time casino whores had in like 2001...

haha, those were the days.

wish i could re-live them and realize what the hell i was getting into back then, though. hoo boy.

ah well no use crying over it. i do think about it from time to time, though. i'd guess the average EV of a neteller account then was probably... $250,000? probably conservative, but that's about right.
