He's already made a couple comments about how at my age I should be at work or something. I responded by saying at his age he should probably be dead or something.

Do you guys think it's +ev to take a player who plays predictably/badly and possibly put him in a mood where you don't know wtf to do against him?

I'm not saying that is what happened in this hand, and I wasn't att he table, so I don't know OPs tone when he said this, but I can't imagine this table talk is great vs. a guy with position on you.

[/ QUOTE ]

It wasn't said (either comment) in a demeaning fashion... I think they guy kind of respected my game but was totally just sick of some agro blind stealer being to his right.

Good point though... NOTED... thanks

I raise with 10 10.

Button and SB fold. BB 3-bets. Limper dumps. I cap.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wait. Is this really a cap? Once it gets heads up does this not allow him to 5-bet (no cap)? I think this is somewhat significant if he was allowed to 5-bet but didn't do so. Some places only allow no-cap if there are 2 players at the start of the betting round. Some places have a 4-bet (or 5-bet) cap no matter what.

Sorry, when I get away from limitville Northern California, I tend to play no-limit at Commerce, so actually I am not sure about the above.

You're right, Garland, at Commerce this 4-bet is not a cap.

Last week there was a limper, an MP raiser, back to me in the BB and I 3-bet AA, the limper dumped, the MP 4-bet, and I was allowed to 5-bet and 7-bet PF.

(by the way, he just called the 7-bet, called the flop and turn, and folded the river... "whatever, dude")

Sounds like AK suited whiffed (people tend to go ga-ga over these hands pre-flop). Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, saying he should be dead is not demeaning at all.
