Default Theory: Cbetting question

Maybe this is simple obvious boring but I thought it might be interesting.

You raise preflop and are called. On the flop the potsize is $X.

On the flop you either have 1. a gutshot or 2. no pair and no draw (not even a backdoor draw). You are given two options: you can make a continuation bet of $Y or you can make a continuation bet of $Z, where Y > Z. You cannot openfold, check or bet an amount other than Y or Z.

All other things (villain's tendencies, board texture, stack sizes, bet timing etc.) being equal, would you rather bet bigger with the gutshot or without?

Say for the sake of the question that you cannot bet $Y with both or $Z with both, you must bet $Y with one and $Z with the other. Also assume we are in a vacuum, so you don't have to take into account any balancing issues (like you should bet Y 60% of the time and Z 40% of the time). Just one situation, one time.

I cbet 100% of the time, well 100% of the times I do not commit to check fold.

Those times I keep almost all cbets the same or I vary at random... or atleast I'm trying to.

I'm not quite sure I understand the relevance of this question - but in general I would want to bet more with the worse hand since I really need the FE I suppose. With a draw (even a crappy one), you're just semibluffing so setting a lower price makes the semibluff more profitable.

What are you trying to get at, here, though?

The amount I bet in these spots will not be determined by the outs I have for the gutter as opposed to the air hand but by the board texture and more specifically, my opponent.

Edit as I didn't read the OP fully and now have. All things being equal I bet the same for both hands.

100bb stacks I assume. I bet smaller with both, and would voluntarily choose to bet bigger with a bigger draw (8 outs +) to build a pot. If I had to choose one, I would bet bigger with the gutter, again to build a pot for when I hit.
