Re: 2007 Foxwoods WPF Thread/Roll Call/Information
[ QUOTE ]
Any advice on the best way to get from the Providence airport to Foxwoods? Also, if I'm wiring ~$50k to the casino, is it worth inquiring about a room upgrade? I actually spoke with a casino host earlier, but she basically told me that poker players aren't worth her time and that I should call the poker room once the money is wired. Anyone have success with that? [/ QUOTE ] Go through the poker room and you will have no problem. |

Re: Days to avoid
For those looking to play ACTs, be careful. A lot of the "regulars" soft play, pool money, etc.

Re: 2007 Foxwoods WPF Thread/Roll Call/Information
[ QUOTE ]
Is it easy to wire money to Foxwoods? I'd prefer to get money there that way, but after the wsop I'm kind of skeptical. [/ QUOTE ] I did a wire transfer a couple of years ago and it was a piece of cake. I called my bank from Foxwoods and gave them the routing instructions that I got from the main cage. The money showed up in less than an hour. I had to fill out some paperwork to set up a marker account in order to withdraw the money from the cage. It was painless. Reading this thread makes me wish I was going this year. Too much happening at work though. |

Re: new rules

[ QUOTE ] -you talk to anyone during the hand, same thing. anyone. even HU. You mean someone not at the table, right? [/ QUOTE ] No, I don't. It's fairly stupid and takes a lot of the fun out of tournaments. Edit: Of course, I'm referring to talking about the hand in any way, shape or form. Not just talking to people about general crap. I mean stuff like: -"you got two pair over there?" -"flush draw on the board..." -"I think I have you beat..." -"You want action?" stuff like that... [/ QUOTE ] I was there last weekend, playing in an Act II super. Floor was standing right next to the table. I raised pf with AKo, called in one place. I cb and get raised all-in by a guy who had flopped a set earlier. Floor person is looking right at me, 3 feet away. I say "What, you flop a set on me, too?" Floor person *and* dealer do not say or do anything. I repeat myself, and again they do nothing. I call and bust the guy who had AQ. This all happened well after you say this rule went into effect. |

Re: new rules
[ QUOTE ]
Friend was playing an ActIII last week. One guy folded out of turn. Dealer said not to do it again please. Dude basically said "F U" Folded out of turn again an orbit later. "Floor!" Had to sit out an orbit After river, dude is contemplating bet. Guy after him says "I'm all in" out of turn First guy calls the floor and asks if his hand is dead. Floor gives the guy a warning. Next time his hand is dead. 'All in' boy had the nuts and is lucky his hand wasn't killed. Next time it happened it would be "You, sir, are all in and your hand is also dead." The thing about these rules is, it states that you get one warning. After that, you're fair game. [/ QUOTE ] Both these situations are way different from the examples you gave before. There's a huge difference between swearing at someone and declaring "all-in" out of turn, and asking your opponent a question in order to get a reaction. |
