I was at Vegas last weekend and this question popped into mind again. What's inside the NYNY skyline buildings? They don't look like hotel rooms (and it would be a terribly awkward configuration for them) and I can't imagine that they wasted all that concrete and steel just to make a pretty skyline. Those are the hotel rooms. The hallways are long and have many corners and turns.
