In Mississippi if you've been cut off from drinking you can't gamble in the casino for 24 hours. Standard.

[/ QUOTE ]

was this in Tunica or Biloxi or elsewhere? Friends and I have gotten torn up at casinos in Tunica many times and have never gotten that put on us, and im sure we act like idiots. The worst we get is put in alcohol time out for 15 minutes or so, but we always get served again, and definately never told we couldnt gamble for 24 hrs

[/ QUOTE ] It's Mississippi gaming law. If for any reason you get cut off you can't gamble in the casino for 24 hours.. We do make an effort not to have to cut someone off for that reason. Most of the time I just ask the waitress to slow it down for a while.

I've seen some totally smashed people in AC, and I never saw them escorted out, or cut off for that matter. Sometimes I wish they were, more times than not in my experience the drunk has ruined a good table rather than livened it up, and it's always personally unpleasant.

[/ QUOTE ] My thoughts are this. If someone is intoxicated to the point that they're slowing the game down or in other words disrupting the game in any way they should be cut off. If you've had enough to drink that you can't make proper decisions on your hand it's irrisponsable for the casino to allow you to play. I know from a player perspective it's nice to have someone spewing chips but at some point the casino has to take resposibility for the player.

This is standard in Arizona. If the wait staff thinks you're drunk (subjective, certainly) they've got to inform the floor. Depending on who that is you might get kicked out. They'll offer you taxi service and I've heard that if you drive off they have the reservation police waiting for you.

[/ QUOTE ]

Whoa! Based on what I saw and heard at Casino Arizona, they are VERY lenient with that policy.
