What's the deal with the shoes with the long, pointy toes that seem to be in fashion for women? Here's an example, but I've seen them with much longer toes than these. Why do women think these are attractive?

[/ QUOTE ]

good question! I HATE those kinda heels.

I think they make a woman's foot look long and more elegant. There are some out there that are ridiculously pointy and long.If you have to wear a dress shoe I think they look better than the stubby rounder toe.

Katy? Jes?

Personally, I've always associated femininity w/ soft and rounded rather than sharp and pointy. Also, my mom, who's on the taller side, was always sensitive about her shoe size. She thought her feet were too big, so I also find it odd that women would choose to add 1-3 inches onto their shoe length. Do women not think this way about shoes?

I have one pointy toe shoe. Boot really. I like it, but I have small feet so maybe it doesnt look THAT long.

And I too prefer no shoes whenever possible. I dont generally dress up much either.

Those are GREAT. Take a sad, obvious look at them, then look th wearer in the eyes and ask her in a concerned voice: "Gosh, what did evolution do to YOU?" Do that with a few people with not too long a fuse standing around, dumb people don't get it in my experience.

These are a fashion that originally came from the slums, where these shoes were enjoyed for kicking cockroaches in the corners. The longer the toe, the less splash-back.

As a man, I'll field this one. Get your girl to put some strappy pointy shoe on with an nice sun dress and no panties. Watch her walk an notice those sexy calves*. Call her over to your bed (table/sofa/car hood), lift up her dress, get it wet and bone her with her legs on your shoulder. You'll then understand why women wear these. Its for us.
