the only issue I see is the king at the top of the side binding...it's not consistent with other 2p2 books

[/ QUOTE ]

Very true, but that ship has def sailed, there's not much resemeblance to other 2+2 books at all save the logo. I really didn't want this to look like a 2+2 book at all but wountd up going that route on the back cover anyway.

Gonso likes the titles separate, I'm on the fence

I still do now, and I think the "strategy" was better in white, if for no other reason than it brightened the cover, and you know how much talk there's been about bright covers here

Looking back there are a whole lot of good covers submitted

Also, we having some kind of server problems? Having a hard time getting to the site

My entries:

The colors can easily be changed and the design tweaked if desired.

I like ama's cover a lot, including the font, reminds me of Fight Club.

Thanks again! I think if white has to be there, SNG is
where it should be; standing 60 feet away one could see
the white type far easier, so the main theme should leap
out I guess.

Mason did say he would work with the winners to perfect
his "selling colors"...I hope I am lucky enough to
receive his guidance

Here is my favorite followed by the latest variant:

Default One Day Extension

Hi Everyone:

As some of you have probably noticed, we have experinced some down time today with the forums. So we're going to extend the contest by one day to make sure that any last minute entries do get posted. So the contest will run till midnight Saturday June 16. At that time I will lock the thread and then our evaluation of the covers will begin.

Best wishes,
Mason

Good deal - in that case I'll try to finish my submission for Collin's book.

Lot's of color work to be done tomorrow, I have no idea what the base color will be. Probably on the light side, this blue (or any blue) is probably out.

Comments welcome.

Also, if anyone needs a colorful textbook cover for a 5th-grade algebra book, please send PM.

Midnight on Saturday is less than 6 hours away. I think you mean Midnight Sunday i.e. 1 second after 23:59:59 Saturday?

If you polled 100 people, how many do you think would tell you at 6:00 PM on Friday that midnight Friday had already passed, and that 6 hours from now it was going to be midnight Saturday? Not many, I'd venture to say.

But before we start a silly argument about that, even if you're right, who cares? I'll go out on a limb and say everyone knew perfectly well what was meant. Don't be a nit.

This and the "headless, dismembered body" comment earlier was enough to
get me through a 14 hour-day at work...LMAO!

Hi Buconero:

You're right. I should have said at the end of Saturday.

Best wishes,
Mason
