Default Qualifying for Main Event on the internet

I live in Vegas and read somewhere a long time ago that the WSOP was not allowing third party entries this year into events. Before I get a crap storm or haters in this post, I used the search feature to no avail. What do the sites plan on doing this year? $10K into the account, or $10K in poker chips at the RIO? I am assuming they can't buy lammers, so it would have to be casino chips right? Thanks for the answers!
