Really glad to hear that Barry was chosen of all the pro's there.

Can you imagine, Rousso or Duke representin?

I CAN IMAGINE DUKE ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS THAT NOBODY ASKS.

I can imagine Rousso answering questions about studying game theory at Duke that nobody asks.

barry,
when responding to hostile questions in front of congress, you may want to avoid using phrases like "the house judiciary committee, whatever that is."

also, you should start a thread in legislation soliciting responses for common hostile questions. you'll probably get a lot of good suggestions.

I thank all of them for participating in this.

And I think Annie would be a great representative. She knows how to keep her cool and is very tough and will get the points across.

If they would have two spokespeople Barry and Annie would be gerat in this role.

I would guess having Yahoo! poker, or Harrah's online poker, would be worth into the lower 6 figures for me. I can't imagine what it'd be for a MSNL grinder.

if they regulate it then it's going to suck for players living in certain states because the poker sites will begin blocking players who reside in those states.... which is something they don't do now.

but it will be a lot easier moving from state to state than country to country

I dont expect this move to make the games super good again, like they where 2+ years ago. But I think a victory for all of us would be if they get even a little easier and stay that way. Atleast hold off on the progression of the games for a while. Giving us an extra 2 to 5 years of earn before the games reach the state they are today.

Im not American but while in Vegas during the WSOP I was so surpised by ppl attitudes towards online poker. Atleast 75% of ppl I spoke to at the table where convinced that online poker was illegal.

Overall though this can only be good. But I wouldnt expect things to change overnight and even when they change its never going to be how it was. Most dont realise how far the average midstakes player has developed in the past year, if a new influx of fish occured these players are so far advanced that they will decimate them within a very short period. Which could lead to alot of disenfranchised fish and the staus quo being continued, but hopefully not.
