Default 69s Turn shove

Party Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

CO: $20
Hero (BTN): $50.81
SB: $56.04
BB: $31.54
UTG: $100.73
MP: $50

CO posts $0.50
Pre-Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
2 folds, CO checks, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2.50</font>, 2 folds, CO calls $2

Flop: ($5.75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
CO checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $4</font>, CO calls $4

Turn: ($13.75) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
CO checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $13.50</font>, CO calls $13.50 and is All-In

Reads: Villain just arrived at the table on this hand.

I figured if he had an Ace he would have raised PF, so I pushed the turn as a semi-bluff.

I don't like it. I check behind and get it in on river if I hit.

edit out results.

this is alright, but i'd rather check the turn back and hope to hit on the river.

i don't expect a guy who buys in for 40% of the max at 50 nl to fold a queen here, and he's definitely not folding an ace.

Checking is best - he will call you on the river if you make your hand - so no need to charge yourself.

If the river comes a blank (and its checked to us) what do we do?

pretty terrible spot to bluff in my opinion. i'd much rather do it on the turn, but usually only if i think the villain is competent.
