Passive line okay vs this villian OOP with AA
50NL 6 Max
Villian is 24/19 with postflop aggression numbers of 10.5/4.4/2.1 over 860 hands. The flop sort of makes sense because he likely folds a lot of hands that he would bet with if I make a C-Bet, I think I can get away with it because I check sometimes with nothing too. On the turn 75s got there but I'm not sure a good player would bet a gutshot draw on the flop, maybe he would, definitely bets if he has 54c or 75c, but I doubt he calls with 75c preflop, so I'm still thinking maybe AQ/KQ is his most likely holding when he keeps betting, but he's going to fold it if I push. I don't think I like the river call because after he's bet and I've called the turn he must know I don't have a 5, and he probably knows that I know it's very unlikely for him to have a 5, also by now he should know that I'm liable to C-bet draws so he probably doesn't put me on any kind of a draw, so it has to be AQ/KQ or KK AA, which means that when he bets he's not expecting me to fold, which means I probably should. I think bearing the above in mind he probably checks behind with a missed club draw. Anyway what you guys think. Playing that passively doesn't make sense.
On each street, you let him get free cards if he wanted them. You need to CB the flop, bet the turn and c/c river is fine. |

i would like to see a raise on the turn. to maybe 22ish.. dont give the villain a chance to catch up if he is already behind make him pay for another card

Mack, why are you the calling station?? Just because he has somewhat big AF this is terrible.
If a villain with this AF and he hits a decent hand, he will raise you anyways. I bet each street hoping he hit a hand. |

2.1 AF with 10/4.4 is far from being aggro.

Re: Passive line okay vs this villian OOP with AA
Misread the OP, I thought he was more aggressive than 2.1,
anyways, makes the case for betting even better, maximum value from AQ, KQ, QJ kinda hands and information. I really really don't like c/c with this great of a hand. |

Re: Passive line okay vs this villian OOP with AA
i'd rather let people this agressive bluff into me when i have marginal hands like tpnk or something. with something as strong as aces, i'll take my chances with them folding.

w/a hand this strong you want to take advantage of his aggression by betting into him and hoping he raises.

Re: Passive line okay vs this villian OOP with AA
Hey guys, I'm just an interested observer. If you DO bet your aces into him and let's say he calls the flop and then raises on the turn, do you push all-in? Do you call? What if he calls you on the turn and then shoves on the river?
