Work today: Broke 65K piece of equipment, got chemical burns.

I've never, even for an instant, considered playing poker for a living, until today.

My dad owns a moderate size sod farm in NE FL and I've pretty much always planned on working for him after college. My dad needed some help this week and today was the first day I had available to help him. So here's how it went.

5 am: Woke up to make the hour and a 1/2 back home hungover from night of partying before.

6:30 am: get to work, get on tractor, fumigate new sod land for rest of day.

12-12:30 PM: Lunch. Then back to work more of the same: Tractor, unbearable heat, boredom.

3:59 PM: Sweet! Almost done. One more hour till I can get back to Gainesville shoot pool and drink the rest of the night.

4:00 PM: Back up tractor in a mud hole and destroy a 65K custom fumigant sprayer.

4:01 PM: Me: [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored]!!!!!!!

4:02-4:30 PM: Dig broken parts of sprayer out of knee deep muddy water with fumigant mixed in. I now have mild to moderate chemical burns on my feet and hands.

6:30 PM: Get off work. Not even near fixing the mess I've created.

8:00 PM: Get back to Gainesville, shower, long on to 2p2 BBV and read about all the cool [censored] people are buying with their poker winnings.


I think I'm going to start devoting more time to poker.
