Travolta is a bad nominee, but you would've been best leaving off the last few flicks.

I have yet to see anybody who is close to Baldwin in this thread.

Also Boiler Room is both horrible and awesome. Sick soundtrack.

These are both very very good.

I fail to see how Jean Claude Van Damme fits the OP at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

Look at his IMDB and movies 1-13. I have not even heard of one of these.

The OP asked for great performances, not great acting. Jean-Claude's performance in Bloodsport was awesome. He hasn't come close to what he did in Bloodsport since. Everything he has done since Bloodsport has been unwatchable.

For the purposes of the OP, I'd give JCVD's performance in Bloodsport an 8. Everything else he has done since then (Time Cop, The Quest, etc...) is either a 1 or a 0. This gives him a pretty high "Cuba rating".

Yeah okay well all of those are pretty bad - and tbh I don't like him much in general. But so what? He made a fair share of big flicks in the 80s/90s. Obviously they were basically all the same and nobody's watching them for the acting, but it's not like he peaked with ONE movie and all the rest have been awful. If you're the type of person to like Bloodsport, I'm going to assume you also like Maximum Risk or Hard Target or Kickboxer.
