Default Thin neck

What excercises target the neck or does the neck just automatically adapt to bulked up shoulders and chest and grow anyway?

At the mo im just tensing my neck muscles while rotating my head but its not very efficent and can get you into trouble especially when done in public

Take a partially deflated soccer ball and pin it between your forehead and the wall. Push into the ball while keeping your posture upright. Do this 8 times for 10 seconds each time. Then do this with the ball on the right side of your head, the left side of your head, and the back of your head.

I've had no luck building up my neck without doing heavy deadlifts. Even then, despite putting on a lot of muscle weight, it's not huge by a long way. Other people get a great neck just by doing almost any amount of weightlifting of any type. So I think this kind of thing is extremely individual. You may not benefit from what anyone else is doing, and you may, like me, just need to do full-body heavy lifting to get there.

Jesus Christ! Why does anyone respond to this idiot after his gum chewing and breakfast threads? People listed a bunch of "proper exercises" and, like the rest of your body, it will probably grow more from doing "full-body heavy lifting" as Blarg suggested.
