We just fired our coach after losing in the first round of the MVC. Awesome!

The Kent State University Golden Flashes are 20-10 in the MAC, just lost to Akron (a 24-6 team led by three of Lebron James' old H.S. teammates) a few days ago in OT. They are a #3 seed in the MAC tournament, a young team, probably not their year. I'm thinking Akron makes the dance as tournament champ. Don't be surprised to see Lebron courtside if the Zips make the NCAA tourney.

This was Kent's 9th, 20-game win season in a row, by the way. Remember Antonio Gates led the Flashes to the elite eight 5 years ago.

Kent doesn't have a player like that this year, so don't pick them as a cinderella if they do slip into the tournament. However, Akron could pull off an upset or two if they play teams slow in transition.
