Default Live Omaha or OM8 in vegas

Hi,
I will be in Vegas for the next few days and was wondering where the best place was to play Omaha (hi or hi-lo... limit or PL... doesn't matter). I can picture myself walking from casino to casino only to be told they don't have any Omaha games going on right now. Also, is anyone aware of any Omaha tournaments at any of the casinos?
thanks!

The Rio will have 2-4 games of 2/5 blinds PLO, and sometimes 1-2 games of 2/5 blinds PLO8. Ceasers is trying to get a PLO8 game going on Friday and Saturday nights. The Orleans always has at least 2 tables of 4/8 limit omaha hilo going. Bellagio usually has one 4/8 and one 20/40 limit omaha hilo table going. Besides these rooms, you will be hard pressed to find any other omaha action going. Good luck.

Last time I was in Las Vegas (earlier this year) the two best places to play limit-Omaha-8 were the Orleans and Red Rock Casino. There almost always were several full tables going at the Orleans and there was always one full table going at Red Rock. It was mostly 4/8/kill, as I recall.

We tried a number of other places (but not everywhere) but although some casinos like the Mirage had a list, there was no actual game going when we were in the poker room of the casino.

The Rio also has 10/20 and 20/40 going during the WSOP (also 75/150). I also believe Wynn has had a 20/40 game.

Yes, forgot about the Wynn. They have been regularly spreading 1-2 tables of 10/20 limit, and some 20/40 limit omaha.

Just got back from Vegas, if you want to play PL08, do not waste your time going anywhere else but the Rio. They are running 2/5 pl08 and sometimes have 2 tables going. Plenty of limit around town at many places.

I am loathe to encourage more 2p2ers to come, but yes, I've played 2/5 PLO8 at Rio for about the last 10 days now. The game has run nightly and sometimes there are 2 and 3 tables running. Plenty of LO8 action too from 10/20 up to 75/150 at Rio and at the other usual suspects around town.

The game varies from supersoft to good depending on how many 2p2ers are in it. Last night I played with scoop, worm, tex, and a few other internet folks and it was not a money making proposition after the fish left.

Also I have seen up to 5 tables of 2/5 PLO running and PLO running from 2/5 up to 25/25.

Mirage has the softest 5/10 Limit Omaha High Low game in town. I went there the last 2 days I was in vegas. Very easy because everyone checks and loves giving free cards. I am surprised there was no game going when you went, but it was going 24/7 while I was there. I made like 1300 bucks in 2 days of playing. I played for 8 hours, then went to sleep. Did something else the next day, then came back and played another 8 hours. I would have won more, but I got a couple of terrible beats, to be more specific a 2 outer that cost me close to 300 bucks, damnit. The game is basically 7 players checking the flop. If you bet 5 will go to the river with you hoping to get something. They will only bet or play back when they have the absolute nuts so its easy to get away and to know when to slow down.

I agree 100% with Jorge...Only played LO8 once in Vegas and it was at the Mirage...$1100 in 12 hours in the $5-$10, 1/2 kill game and that includes waiting for the old farts to go to dinner for an hour which paused the game...It's soft as hell and Jorge's description about the call-call-call, raise with the nuts is quite apt...If you are in your 20s expect to be the youngest there by about 40 years...

If your looking for an $4/8 O8 game, Binions has the best deal in town. Max rake of $2 and comps of $2 per hour. Just call ahead and see if the game is going.
