To both Billy and LVM, it's all based on perception. I never once said that the V was the worst room in the city. I wish everyone the best of luck.

Again, perception. If regular joe bloe tourist sees someone and reports it on a message board, it's all about perception whether it's accurate or not, this is what I thought/witnessed when I was there. I was unaware of the same uniforms for chip runners and dealers so it looks like (perception again) that there are more there than really are on shift.

For the record, I never said before that I didn't like the Venetian's room. I only ever played there on opening night and although the "freeroll" for people who'll never play there was somewhat of a cool publicity thing, it was security that was being a royal pain in the but, not the poker room managers.

I cannot appologize for my comments except for the possible innacuracies in games that were running at the time. The lists were outrageous. Some people don't mind waiting for long lists to go through. Hell, there are people who'll wait 3 hours for a 2/5 NL game at the B when they could go next door and probably get a game started instead being of a 60 name waiting list. Maybe after the crazyness of the WSOP is over, I'll come back over there and check it out again. The problem for me was that I only had 2-3 hours to enjoy myself at a table, and I didn't want to spend it on a waiting list. Any tourist or visitor to the casino would feel the same way upon seeing those insane lists.

Btw, that 40/80 limit was insanely deep! I saw at least 2 guys with their stacks 5 deep x 5 wide (25 stacks or 5k+) in front of them. For anyone who wants to play that game, i watched a few hands and it seemed to play like a 4/8 game to be honest with ya.

Just got back from a 3 hour 1/3 and 1/2 session.

When I left at 7:30 PM tonight they had exactly TWENTY cash tables going, including 1/2,2/5,5/10NL,3/6,6/12,20/40,40/80,100/200,1-5 Stud, 20/40 mixed game, and a couple other random ones.

I was told also that Dan Harrington played late last night for a few hours (100/200 LHE).

Played 1/3 and 1/2 for a few hours, and left. Room was crazy busy, but the wife beckoned, so it was time to go.

When the room first opened 4 months ago, there were indeed excess dealers hired and the weaker ones no longer deal there. The present staffing level is stretched thin with the temporary onslaught of the WSOP main event.

That's what happens when you cut staff right before the World Series of Poker hits town in order to avoid having dealers hit their 90 days and get benefits and their full-time status locked in, including a bunch of dealers that had zero... zero blemishes on their file.

Honestly, I have only seen this spread a few times. If you start an interest list on a busy night, you can probably get it going, but it is not a normally spread game.

It is soread daily as part of the mixed game, however. When it is spread, it is usually 5/10 or 6/12.

In regards to the waiting list, if i have a room there, can i get put on the list and have them call my room? I know it seems like an easy question, but i've never stayed in a hotel with a decent poker room before..

Although you can definately call down there and get on the list, I don't know if they can/will call you when your seat is up. I don't think it would be a problem unless they are cazy busy or something.

? He replied to your question, why did you ask the same question again 30 minutes later? A simple call to the poker room would be able to answer your question.

Probably because he refreshed the post page or something.

Besides, most, if not all, questions in the B&M forum can be answered with a call, but you know how lazy most 2+2ers are.
