Firefox 2.0 freezing, crashing, and sending error reports

I finally gave in to the constant pop-ups demanding I upgrade to Firefox 2.0.

Now it freezes, crashes, and pops up asking if it should send an error report.

Sometimes it crashes, then when I try to restart it, it says it's already running, so I have to go kill it, or restart the computer.

I seem to have the latest version (2.0.0.4), running on XP Pro.

Anyone else have these problems?

Do you have any extensions installed? If so, try starting in safe mode (disables extensions and themes) and see if you still crash. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

After some extensive debugging, which pointed at the video driver for a long time, I finally determined that the problem was a bad stick of memory. Either FF 2.0 uses a region in memory that the old one didn't, or I just installed it the same day the memory went bad.

That might be it...how much memory is firefox using? Firefox had been known to leak memory like a sieve.
