Conditions set up in "Small Stakes Hold 'Em" rare?

Even the 0.5/1 full-ring games at party are tight these days. The only time you'll find nice action is very late at night on the weekends, when most of your opponents have probably been drinking. I quit playing full ring a month ago and I don't think I will ever go back. Now, 6-max is a completey different story and easily 2 to 3 times as profitable.

Actually all online 6 max games are unbeatably tough. I suggest all solid players run like the plague from these crushingly difficult games.

I have a win rate about 2BB/100 at 2/4 (though small sample, just around 7000 hands) so maybe I shouldn't wish for looser games where people will draw out on me (and I will tilt? :-)).
I just bought "Middle limit holdem poker" since it comes highly recommended most places and I think the games I play resemble the conditions in this book even more. Furthermore I wanna move up in limits eventually.
