If there weren't price gouging laws, retail stores could just sell the playstations for a couple grand and we wouldn't have any of these problems.

fwiw, I played the ps3 at voodoofest in new orleans about a month ago...Honestly, I wasnt impressed. It was pretty similar to 360 but all the games are crap. I played some race car game and got bored with it after about 30 seconds. I also played Resistance...it was pretty cool but nothing special...you just run around shooting stuff. That being said, im sure ill buy one once they put some good games out...or I might just buy a wii. Does anyone know if nintendo actually puts out enough sytems for most people to get one or will it be similar as the ps3? Also, are there any good wii games besides zelda?

It's not even worth it without all of that.

Buy X for $600 sell X for $5000. Yeah it's worth it.

Good luck with that. Please post the link to your completed auction.

Bidding on eBay for the 60-GB version went into the stratosphere on Friday, with one going to a buyer in Britain for a jawdropping 15,100 dollars.

That's sort of the problem with this generation of game consoles; FPS and car race games are just the same old crap. Graphics don't change anything. PS2/XBox/Gamecube had enough horsepower to execute those games seamlessly; after that it's all kind of meaningless.

Yeah, that wasn't a riot. That was a lot of people in one place.

Anybody have any idea how long ps3s will be selling for unreal prices?

[/ QUOTE ]

Until Christmas.

I dunno...I had one up for 1899 and it didn't get a single bid.

It's kind of weird some go for 2300+ and then others for 1500 with no real reason. I mean I have like a 98% rating with 81 pos feedback. So I certainly wouldn't think it was them being worried about getting it.

Heck I even added a free wireless controller. I'm real hesitant about relisting it.

One of those shootings was in my hometown area. Population of <10,000 in CT. There were 15 or so people waiting in line at 2am, and 2 thugs pulled up and tried to rob them, one guy resisted so they shot him twice...WTF? What a wanna-be baller. There are no ghettos in my hometown. Just confused idiots who see this [censored] on tv.

"Hmmm, I'm robbing someone and they won't give it up, I guess I'm supposed to shoot him now"....[censored] idiot.

Also, why are 15 people camped outside, is Walmart really only going to stock 15 PS3's...
