Default 200NL; AK in a 3 bet pot

villian is snoop817 he's running at 16.5/14/2.6 over 3k hands... i haven't seen him in a big pot with marginal hands yet. he seems very very tight to me. should i 4 bet this or just cold call? if i for 4 bet and he shoves i'm forced to call right? ps i have position on him

i dont think i fold here ever. either take a flop in position or 4bet and commit yourself to the hand. you raised in mp and sb could very easily be squeezing or even raising worse hands for value.

given reads plus his huge raise, you can fold. if hes full of [censored], he will do it again, you'll have a better hand, and you can pwn him.

Huge? It's pot+$5 seems pretty standard OOP. Anyway, I never fold this but I can't fault you for doing it, it's all about game flow, if he might be squeezing with bad hands, if he has little respect for you and BTN etc.
If he's an unimaginative NIT then you can fold. If not, 4-bet pot and call a shove. Reason for 4-betting isn't just for value but to make sure he stops 3-betting you light and squeezing if this is what he's doing.

If we put him on a monster ie JJ+ then calling to see a flop will not make us money. We'll stack off to KK and AA on K,A flops, we're unlikely to win more than whatever's in the pot + a possible C-Bet on A high and K high flops vs JJ-QQ and we have to fold on pretty much every other flop. Calling is fine vs a light 3better (but 4-betting is probably preferable)

this hand depends so much on your stats. If your stats are similar to villains than fold. If you are a lot looser 4 bet.
