Ever had have two of the same card in a deck?
Had a weird dream last night where I flopped quads, then hit 5 of a kind on the river (and said "oh, [censored].")
Has anyone ever played in a B&M game where the composition of the deck was wrong? How was it handled? I'm sure it's rare and the dealers check new decks, but you never know if one of the cards got switched out by a player, the deck was messed up and the dealer counted it wrong, etc. etc. |

Yep. Hand was ruled a misdeal & a new setup was brought to the table.

Hand is "no action". All money from the pot is refunded.

[/ QUOTE ] 20-40 Omaha H/L at Rio during WSOP 3 years ago... we had a 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hit the flop and a 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] also on the turn - They just backed all the action up and gave everyone their chips back, needless to say this had been a pretty big action hand and the nits involved werent happy |

Yep, WSOP 3-5 PLO last year. Ace on the river and someone noticed that they had the same card in there hand.
A few of the players left fairly quicky which has be wondering if they knew about it. |

Re: Ever had have two of the same card in a deck?
In hand shuffled game, dealer switches Deck A in play with Deck B from her tray and does not notice she left a card from Deck B in the tray. So now you have decks of 51 and 53.
or... "new setups" are usually "used decks" that have been cleaned and sorted by someone (with a mind numbing job). A marked/damaged K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is replaced with a K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and the dealer does not catch it when it is spread. |

My local casino always has decks with different colored backs to avoid this issue and only one deck of each color on the table. |

Re: Ever had have two of the same card in a deck?
Last year I played in a home tournament with about 30 runners. First hand I look down at KK, put in a raise, SB calls, BB looks down at his cards and mucks his hand face up - he had J7, where the J was a Joker.
I was very pissed. |
