Default Which monitor?

Hello.

Im looking at getting a new monitor for serious multitabling, watching dvd's and playing games.

General criteria: The bigger the better. Quality/brand not too important as long as its not a complete POS

Dont really want to spend more than about $600. What are my best options?

Thanks.

Speaking of 204B's, TechForLess.com has refurbished 204B's for $219 plus shipping.

It says "Max Resolution 1600 x 1200 / 60 Hz" that's not something one can use as under 70 Hz is like sandpaper to the eyes.

They are pretty cheap these days (mine cost €1000 a few years ago), so one could try and find something one can use also. Also may be worth looking to find as big a monitor as one can get as long as it's at least 1600 x 1200 / 70 Hz.

Hz doesn't mean the same thing with LCDs, the 204B is beautiful.

I was astonished when i got mine home compared to my old 19" CRT. Greatest computer item i have ever purchased.

Sidenote: I have a linux server i use to test websites on my lan. being able to plug it in the analog port and my regular desktop in the dvi port allows me a screen for maintenance of my linux box without having to crawl around under my desk and change out video plugs. its one button to change computers. love it.

Has anyone bought a factory refurbished one? Or bought from "tech for less"? 100% satisfaction - can't go wrong?

Oh well...I went ahead and ordered it, so if anyone is interested in my experience, I can pass that info on later.

Just received mine today and so far so good. It was plug and play on Vista with a 7600GS card. Both DVI and analog cables are included. Haven't noticed any dead pixels.
