Guy with quads raises hell about my play...wtf??

so i'm playing the borgata $250+30 last week. 400 players.
about 70 left and i'm in big blind with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. blinds about 800-1600, not sure. i had about 40K, button was big stack at 60K.

only limper is on button, SB folds.

flop is 8 7 7. i check, button checks.

turn is 8. i bet min, 1600. he flat calls.

River is 8. I check, he bets 8000, i raise him to 21,000. he goes instantly all in. I of course call.

he slams down 77 and starts yelling at me about the hand. if anyone played that deep at that tourney, you probably heard him screaming. Everyone got a good chuckle out of that one.

WTF did i do wrong?? LOL.

1. U shouldn't have rivered the 1-outer...that's rude.

2. U shouldn't have raised his river bet with the nuts...that's impolite. I like smooth-calling so the 2nd nuts isn't too upset when i have him beat.

3. U could have open-folded the flop, since there's a good chance he has 77 there.

Perhaps this gentleman has heard of a often used tactic to eliminate such beats, it's called a preflop raise.. and I love seeing limpers get pwned...

he outlasted me, the fkin grinder. i got to final two tables, he got to final table. he was clapping when he saw me bust, saying, 'what, your quads didn't hold up?'. WTF??? OK now I can handle TonyG smack but this guy was just a 100% USDA anus.

and yes, it was rude of me to chk raise on river. i should have check-folded. my manners are not what they used to be.

my AK ran into AA and KK. : (
