Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
[ QUOTE ]
His bet on the turn was tiny. That is why I thought he might induce a bluff. [/ QUOTE ] Hm, fair point. Somehow I misread that as a $3.1 bet. |

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
bet 20-25 on the turn... u want a call, but u want to disguise the strength of your hand, make him think if he hits then he's getting your stack.
If he is on FD then u dont get anymroe from him on river unless he hits, so u need to get what u can on the turn. If he also has a full, no worries, its all going in. If he has AK, KQ, then he hasn't played it very well... again, u need more money in on the turn to commit him to calling your all-in on the river |

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
[ QUOTE ]
This was played so badly, you should have most of your stack in by the turn and be getting the crumbs in on the river. Ck-raising the flop is so strong that any villain should be able to get away from any hand here besides a set. It looks like the villain is on a flush draw and you won't be getting anything else out of him on the river. Bet more on the turn. Better luck next time. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I guess the turn is bad. I'm not so sure that checkraising the flop is so bad however. Thre are a lot of draw outs there and a lower set is a definite possibility. I agree however that I completely blew it on the turn |

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
the CR on flop screams KK, its a very strong play. A normal c-bet does more to disguise your hand, a set will raise u anyway, and a FD is more likely to put money in on the turn if they feel u have AK.

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
If you're up against a lower set on the flop, bet bet bet and he'll throw his money at you. If he's on a draw, you give him a chance for the free card.. Your reasons for c/r are actually the reasons to NOT c/r.

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
I dont know your stats but I hope your CBET% is 70+ and if there are thinking players in the table, they will notice it. You raised preflop + checked the flop, something is wrong. Also the flop is very drawy - flush + straight draw. So I would bet this flop. For value, for destroy the drawing odds and not to give out my hand.
As played, bet more turn. I would make very little bet 12-13$ on the river. OT: If I were one of the Villain I will fold even bottom set on the turn. Its crystal clear that you have nuts. Bet, Flop Check and very small bet on the turn == nuts. |

Re: 50NL - I have a monster - how much on the river?
I think I'd bet around $12.5 on the turn, as this gives him the implied odds to chase the flush draw, if you don't have a boat.
I'd just likely shove the river, because an underset or weaker boat will call you, and everything else will pretty much fold to any bet. Your hand screams boat or four of a kind unfortunately. (depends on your stats). |

cbet flop, bet around 1/3 pot on the turn, and shove river
