I hate this, because as Renton said, your range is so narrow when you do this.

i don't like to bet 3-bet too much just because i get so much value out of taking away cbets when people miss and auto cbet.

why? there is a FD that you should be able to rep equally well by b/3-betting as by c/ring and with AQ/AJ villain will prob not call a c/r but will call multiple streets. acting like a b/3-bet here is flame-worthy is pretty dumb.

umm...you can have air here. Basically you're repping 777 and since thats such a narrow range it is unlikely that he's going to put you on exactly that hand. If he is putting you on a set everytime you take the b3b line then you should be taking it a lot more often.

I don't like your line but as played I like call then donk rvr.

Personally I raise preflop.

As played, on flop I will always bet/3bet the set because of the drawy board. The reason is that I like to bet/3bet strong hands as well as stong draws. If you only bet/3bet strong hands then don't bother.

looking at other responses now...

i agree with futuredoc here. what it comes down to is how often you bet/3bet flops. personally i think it is most +EV to have a wide bet/3bet range for situations like this (set on nice drawy flop) as opposed to never bet/3betting and just c/ring all the time.

but if you just pull a bet/3bet out of the blue when you actually have a huge hnad then that is just worthless, you might as well play like people expect and c/r.
