I think I played this well, but the 7 on the turn did scare me. I called the river because I thought if he had a 7 he'd protect against a flush or even straight draws, plus he might have been one a draw himself.

When a problem like this arises for me in a tourney, I think to myself, what am I beating. Very little in this instance...

He limps so 77 88 and 1010 are unlikely. U gave no reads however so I don't know. a 7 is not unreasonable, u said it's a $1 and loadsa players don even know what protecting your hand means. Also, I'd consider a slowplay here given I'm heads up. I think most likely however is j10, 109 mayb.

This is a terrible shove on his part, it seems, but unless he has air, I have a hard time naming what you beat.

If you are gonna check the turn and river and call his AI and aren't comfortable, bet something on the end and force him to raise you AI. Blocking bets can be exploited but it takes a lot of balls to do it here.
