for less than half a buy in I'm tempted for sure. They really didn't represent much preflop which would lead me to believe it's a smaller pocket than 77. I think you're worried about 88, but very rarely 1010 or JJ.

I'm going to say it's fine, but close.

You don't really need to bet as much on the flop.. 4.5 accomplishes the same things and get calls from weaker hands. That said, against a half-stack I don't really mind it if you think he's gonna do this with ace high or 66 and lesser pairs.

Don't you feel like he'd raise a higher PP preflop? I also think if he had a 9, he would slowplay it and just call your bet on the flop.

NH, especially against a 60 BB stack.

I wouldn't assume such things about your unknown opponents.

This is why I`m not that sure about this hand. Especially in NL50 we can`t assume that our opponents raise or even 3-bet hands like TT, JJ, etc.
What makes this hand so difficult imho is his minraise on the flop
=> this might easily be a bluff or a ANY (whereas a higher pair is more likely I think) pair - I really don`t worry about the case nine here, it`s just too unlikely...

The possibiliy of him holding just two high cards makes it a bad choice to just call here because we never know where we stand if a T,J,Q,K or A hits and he goes on beting.
But because of the possiblity of him holding a higher pair than sevenes - which he probably won`t fold - raising might turn this hand into the worse chase scenario.

Really, I`m confused.
