Yeah I think in hindsight bet/calling the turn is def the best play.

against sharpia, I like a bet turn - and given you checked a call on the river. I think my stats on him are much nittier. He seems like an awkward player.

Yea, wtf at this being a value shove. Not to say he can't call with AQ/AK given OP's line, but the majority of the time he calls our hand is no good. I would almost always bet the turn here and call a shove here also.
