he could very well have the same hand here. But I still fold, both draws got there on the river and he was staying in the pot for a reason. That reason is that he had some way of winning so I would expect him to have improved.

Flop bet is absolutely fine. You have nothing to fear on that flop. Get some value out of your opponent.

You get more value if you bet more.
If you have the need to bet less to get 67 or A8xx to call once feel free but nothing thats calling the flop isnt gonna fold for a pot anyway.

Not necessarily. It's unlikely you will get raised if you bet the pot. People are unlikely to bluff you if you bet strong, plus your opponent will fold marginal hands he would otherwise call with, such as gutshot straights, overpairs with 2 backdoor flush draws and bottom 2.
When I bet this flop, i'm looking for my opponents to raise, not call, which they will if they sense weakness and have a medium strength hand such as top 2, a set or the higher straight wrap.
If the guy has absolutely nothing, he is folding in both cases.

I've long ago given up on trying to bet to induce bluff raises or bad value raises.

Meh, given stack sizes, I can't see villain raising this flop without a straight or good blockers no matter how much we bet. I think our best play is just to bet the pot and go for full value.

I think you can fold the river, his line looks very fishy whatever it is but it is hard for him to have nothing. I do like betting more on the flop, you are going to get called light 10x more often than you get raised light, and you can get called by some hands which are drawing almost dead.
