Pastrami n00b; help!
Hello,
we bought a package of pastrami from Costco and it comes in 2 vaccuum sealed packs. One pack just looks fine, but in the other, the pastrami has turned a sort of brown, non-red color. Is the pastrami in said pack still edible? any advice appreciated. thx, --oj. |

Doesn't the salt in the pastrami protect it from spoiling...like in the olden days???

I would smell the meat. If the smell puts you off then throw it out.
