Re: 11$ PP: JJ in BB
I would call! You can play JJ for Set Value or a board with nothing higher than a T. If a A or K comes the fold is easy.

[/ QUOTE ] You can't make a very strong argument for set value here because you would have to get BOTH opponents to give you 1600 more if a Jack falls to have correct implied odds. PS: I push. You likely have an overpair to UTG and caller likely has AQ or AK, or vice versa. |

With so much dead money in the pot I like a push!

Maybe you can make you opionion a bit clearer? |

Re: 11$ PP: JJ in BB
I missed that there were two callers in OP but I still say shove. Here's why:
Each additional caller after the UTG raiser's hand is generally weaker than the previous and trying to outflop the raiser. A 4xPFR at this level usually is TT- or AK/AQ. For someone to NOT reraise they need AK- or JJ-, unless they are being tricky with AA or KK, which is a bad idea with some many people to act behind you. So JJ is likely the best hand at this point in time and too strong to fold. I think calling 400 with the intention of folding if you miss your set is too weak a play at this stage of the tourney. Therefore shoving becomes the best option as you probably get two of the other three players to fold, and are in good shape against whoever calls you. If you get three callers, that's fine too because they are probably sharing some of each other's overcard outs. |
