$16 200/400 J9 Call from BB?
sngpt says villain needs to push 22+ A2+ KTs+ KJo+ QJs+ or looser to call. My justification for calling was:
A) that all of the stacks are relatively close so these chips would help me pwn. B) J9 should do well against pushing ranges. C) 855 to win a 2055 pot. D) I still have a few chips if I lose. Do you like the call? This is marginal but with the blinds that high, you could expect villain to be pushing very wide. I don't think either a call or a fold is terrible here.

I fold, no need to risk 1/3 your stack on a hand like that when you can attack the blinds your next few hands.

Re: $16 200/400 J9 Call from BB?
If Villian knows ICM and is pushing close to optimal ranges then this is close.
Your points B,C,D are considered in the ICM calculation. Your first point would have more $EV if this was 5 handed and when you win you will be CL on the bubble. It does have some value but I do not think it would make up enough if villian is shoving tight here. |
