Default Chumash casino/resort

Anybody ever stayed/played at Chumash? If so, what limits and how many tables of each do they usually have running at peak hours? Their website says 14 tables but that's about it.

havent been in close to 6 or 7 months

2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 6/12 (odd i know)

NL 50 with 1-2 blinds, 100-200 with 1-2 blinds, and i think a 500 capped buyin game, not sure of blinds. 3-5 maybe?

usually tons of 2/4 and 3/6, and probably 2 of each NL game except the biggest. also occasionally they run a BIG O game.

They offer raffle cards for any hand straight or above, and every hour have a drawing for 50 to 100 bucks.

again this is all a little fuzzy, id give them a call to confirm

We took a car of us down beginning of the summer, wierd limits.

For NL
1/2 blinds 20 or 60 Buy-in
2/5 blinds 100 or 200 Buy in
5/10 blinds 300 or 500 buy in

In the 2/5 game you can only bet in dollar amounts of 5

The action was pretty heavy, 2 of our guys sat at the tables for 30+ hours had $2000 swings in the 2/5 game

Not sure about BBJ or high hands

Peak hours are after the morning tourney, as they will break cash tables to use all of them for the tourneys.

Odd room, tiny stacks but lots of action. They had just moved rooms so they might have decided on something else.

Good Luck

I was there 10/25 and 10/26.
Played 2-5 NL.
There were 2 or 3 tables going.
Games were LAG.

I've been there a decent amount in college and will be there again during Thanksgiving (lol degen). Everything here sounds accurate, I haven't been since they started the 5/10 game (the 300-500 buyin used to be 2/5 blinds, WHY DID U TAKE AWAY THE ONLY SEMI DEEP STACKED GAME ASDIFHPSDFIA) or since they moved to the new room though.

There is a BBJ, I hit it in 2005 at $2/$4 limit and it was a sick bankroll surge as I had just started playing. I made $800 from QQQQ > AAAQQ (I think it's aces full of tens or better beaten). $1 drop for it.

Ahh isn't that always the feeling about BBJ's? Great idea when you hit one, useless highway robbery when you hear about one hitting 10 minutes after you decide to call it a night.

The reason that I'm asking is that I'm in the bay area and my brother is turning 21 in a few days. He'll be out here on thanksgiving break for a week and I wanna take him to a casino to play some poker and stay and celebrate for a weekend. Ideally we'd be looking for a place that has a nice cardroom, relatively inexpensive rooms (we're both students), and reasonably deepstacked low-limit NL action (I can deal w/ at least $100 1-2). I'd rather drive further to a better place than go to the most convenient location. And yes I like to have my cake and eat it too. Thanks
