i did it at 1/2 - 3/6 online but i played a lot and bonus whored a lot and my living expenses were pretty low. i hope to write about it in my 5k post (on bigbadbabar) pretty soon. i'd say it's pretty much not feasible at this point though. feel free to pm me for more info.

Hugely important in doing this successfully is to run super hot. Srsly.

Meh, I did this too, it's certainly possible, but it's not pleasureable, that's for sure.

just 30 table .25/.50 6max... should be close to 2K hands per hour. 1BB/100 is $10/hour!! Holy-so-not-minimum-wage-aments!!!!

Then again, you could just find a job paying $10-$12/hour and 5 table .5/1 a few hours a day and enjoy your life so much more until you grow your roll more and look at it again when you are ready to play 5/10 or so.

PS - go play w/ the live fishies!

Get the idea?

Also, as others have mentioned, you will hate your life a lot less if you are going somewhere to play live as opposed to waking up, walking to the next room and playing 300 hands/hr for 8 hrs then going to bed.

All that said, a mate of mine plays online for a living. He doesn't play an awful lot of hands, but he plays mostly 5/10 (with dips into 10/20 and 15/30) and whores lots of bonus and rb. so that's not exactly micros. also, his only real expenses are partying (which he does do a lot of i guess). but that's a lot different to having to pay of a mortage or car or something. if you run bad and can't party for a week or two, thats a lot different to not having somewhere to live.

Play the game because you like it not because you want to eat.

I know what I'm talking about BBB... you have the new account because Wook banned your normal account until you come up with a 5k post he deems worthy of an un-ban. Your new account registration date is a reminder of how long you've been putting off the 5k post.

Hmm Aaron may not like that... his 5K post is prolly something like...

"Read the FAQ and stop posting 10 hands in one post"

or

"LOLZ"

Hmm, LOLZ could be a winner though!
