I actually think hitting off the tee is underrated. "Drive for show, putt for dough" might apply at some point, but if you're not consistent off the tee your whole game can go down the toilet. It effects so many things, from being 110 to the green instead of 160, to simply being more confident. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly. If you can't get a decent shot from the tee or if you waste strokes hitting it OB then it'll take a huge effort to post a decent score. That's precisely my problem. If I hadn't consistently two-putted I would have gotten some atrocious scores. |

The tee shot is very important, no question about it. Starting and finishing each hole well is the key to good scoring.
