what are your favorite resterants to eat in bkk/thailand? for me it'd be:

japanese - Hachiban Ramen (chain)

Korean - BBQ place on Soi 12 (these are all the same really)

Indian - Face (forgot the soi)

Italian - my kitcheen. Italian food in BKK sucks imho. suggestions?

Thai - Street Vendors ftw, it seems like you get better quality in the poorer areas. the areas around the outside of the mall bangkapi is probably my overall favorite.

Chinese - Chinatown ftw. just look for red. (gootheoy gio let moo dang) i also like the chinese food court in Emporium

Muslim - not many choices that i know about. generally unimpressed with the stuff on soi 3.

spanish/mexican - Does it exist in BKK? Have never seen it.

English - yeah right im not eating that shiite.

Have you tried the place at the end of sukhumvit soi 11 (a little towards soi 13, next to President Solitaire)? I think they had some Italian expats working there, seemed like a decent place. I'm not exactly an expert on Italian food though..

In Patong, I ordered three dishes and some nan from this Indian restaurant to be delivered. When the driver came, I was presented with an itemized bill for 1200 baht. I said "holy [censored], this better be the best Indian food I've had in my life." And it actually was so I couldn't complain.

The best BBQ chicken is at a stand on the beach road right before Phuket Graceland on the righthand side.

I'm moving to Bangkok on Wednesday and my hot 21-year-old sister is coming to visit on Friday, so hit me up if you want to get a beer or something.

What are my options for real pizza in bkk? I've gotten pretty sick of The Pizza Company and their weird condiment bags.

Yo Degen great thread mate.

But just to double check... Gambling is illegal there?

BUT...

Playing onliner poker is no problem at all and I won't be arrested for doing it at an internet cafe or anything?

Would it be worth just staying in a hotel with wireless do you think, to play from the hotel room?

So many questions... I live in Australia and I'm seriously considering giving it a try for a few weeks very soon. When you say it's just way too hot in June / July is it unbearable or still worth the trip?

Thanks man.

I apologize Degen I got ahead of myself and started asking questions that had been asked and answered in my excitement. I would love to catch up with you for a beer when I get over there though.
