Re: AQ on the Button - 1 limper
60bbs is probably the worst possible stacks size. You have none of the advantages of being either 100 deep or 20 shallow, but you have all of the disadvantages of being both shallow and deep.
If you're going to play a short game, then play short. 20bbs is probably ideal. But the thing to keep in mind is 20bb poker is almost completely different than 100 bb poker, which is again completely different from 300+ bb poker. Even if you master playing short, is this really your goal? You're better off buying in full and playing a small stake where the money wont matter then buying short in an attempt to avoid tilt. If you buy in full & consistently lose, you're at least getting better at postflop poker in the progress. |

Re: AQ on the Button - 1 limper
I have to agree. Seems I'm stuck in the middle. I was 40BB but have been moving up as I get more used to the play in NL.
So far I seem to be winning so maybe I'll bite the bullet and buy in for 10. OH man - you have a lot to worry about now buddy! 10BB and cbeting with a meaning! As you can see - I'm always open to suggestions - I might be stubborn but I do listen! :-) |
