Folding pre-flop is better, but then again, it's a 3.40 and aj might very well be the best hand. But to keep it simple fold pre-flop.

As played bet more on the flop you most likely have the best hand and you bet 100 in a 400+ pot.

Agree with the posters above - fold pre-flop. These are the reasons why; Your hand is not strong, you will miss the flop 2/3rds of the time and - importantly - you can not be sure you have the best hand when you do hit the flop. You are out of position for the rest of the hand - and so have to act before the original raiser (thus having no more info on his hand).... try and avoid multi-way pots, out of position with mediochre hands and your future decisions will become much easier!!
