Default Why The Miami Dolphins Get Their First Win Sunday!

In every sport there has to be winners and their has to be losers. In this league there are not two teams that represent the “losers” category better then the Jets and Dolphins. The New York Jets come into Sunday’s game sporting a 2-9 record while the Miami Dolphins are still 0-11. It would seem like neither of these teams have anything to play for except for the number one draft pick which you would have to “lose” to win, but in reality this is a HUGE game for the Miami Dolphins. If they do not come out on top of the Jets this game you can mark my words, they be the first team in NFL history to go 0-16. They host the team right in front of them in the AFC standings this week then finish out the season in Buffalo, at home to the Ravens, in Foxboro and complete the season on December 30th at home to Cincinnati. The Dolphins do not want to become the only team to have an un-defeated season like they did in 1972 and the only team to have a winless season. This week they are playing for the city and the history of the team, and I guarantee you there is plenty of motivation.
With Ricky Williams out of the picture the Dolphins will start running back Jesse Chatman. Chatman has played very well in games where he has got a decent number of carries. He is a very tough runner and once he is in the open field he has the ability to roll down hill and take out blockers in his path. The Jets have the second worst rush defense in the league giving up 150 yards per game and will see a lot of number 28 on Sunday. John Beck is not a great quarterback but he can definitely make things happen when he is playing the Jets. New York is giving up an average of 215 yards per game through the air. A lack of speed in the safety and corner position makes the Jets vulnerable to quick crossing routes and deep patterns. Once the running game is established Beck will be able to go the air and do his best at picking apart the Jets secondary. The Dolphins will be able to move the ball and score some points while their 16th overall ranked defense keeps the Jets from taking off. The Dolphins have great pass stoppers holding teams to 175 yards per game in the air. Joey Porter and Jason Taylor will put pressure on Kellen Clemens from both sides of the ball and force bad throws. Clemens has a 2:1 interception to touchdown ratio and will show for the second week in a row he is useless when the defense brings pressure. The Miami Dolphins will put an end to the streak and the ‘72 can pop a champagne bottle just to celebrate the fact that they wont be a used in the record, the only team to have an undefeated season and a winless season. I love Miami this Sunday and i'm going to take them for 5%. Ill post everything later today.
