Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
Depending on who the button is, I'd reraise preflop in most cases and sometimes I fold. I really hate the flop allin. Just check-fold, not a big deal.

Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
Yes. "The classical argument for not calling here is that if you flop a pair you only get action when you are behind, and that when you miss you lose the pot, so it's a fold/raise." - Jason Strasser. Basically what I'm trying to say is there are reverse implied odds with calling when it gets back to you preflop.

Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
He's getting over 5-1 on his 90 to call pf. It's worth it to flop TP. On the flop you can either do what you did or proceed gingerly but be prepared to get it all in a non-heart turn. I think I would only do this if there were a couple more people in the pot.

Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
I'd call PF. On the flop, I'd check and go from there. If button checks behind, I'm betting/shoving a blank turn.

Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
If you're willing to commit all your chips after the flop, why not check it there instead and come over the top of his cbet? if he doesn't bet and just checks, then that's fine as the big pot on the flop now becomes a more manageable pot on the turn (i.e. hand can now be won without having to shove).

Any read on button?
I think my default here would be CRAI. If he has AA, bully for him. Ryan |

Re: 60s - AK RRed PF on a monotone flop
don't like pushing this. what range are you putting villain on? seems like he'd fold any hand you're ahead of... i'd c/f call small bet only.
