Default 25nl 6 max 66 flops open ended...high variance but ok play?

I know this is a high variance play but I am not sure it was wrong. The villan is 58/6 but is very aggressive on the flop likes to bet out. Is this horrible or just very swingy?

I'm not sure you have very much FE here...and you need that to make your play +EV. With that raise you've got to assume he's either got overcards or a flush draw, and I don't see him getting away from any of those except maybe 88-TT.

I think if he would fold you had the best hand. On that board I think it is pretty safe to assume he either has missed overs or an overpair. When you shove he folds his missed overs and calls with his overpair. And an overpair is far more likely with his mr. The mr is the key, that basically tells you what is what. Just call the mr. I think your shove has very little value here.

Anyone like a c/r here against this aggro villain?

The CO rise preflop is a little bit unusual for a villain who is 58/6: he don't want to steal but want you, and maybe some other, in the pot and I put him on a suited connector (maybe something like J10 or QJ).
Maybe the flop helped him so he reraised and your reraise give him enough odd to call: on such a board I didn't push so early.

If he is able to lay down a hand, that is a good way to win some extra money. As someone else said: villain is a tight raiser who minraised before the flop. So he has a hand that wants action. So he is probably best right now. And in general, villain seems to be very loose, so he probably has issues laying a hand down after being aggressive on the flop.

I play this passively and let it go if I don't hit my str8 on the turn. Implied odds aren't great either, with 4 to a str8 on the board.

Playing a pair + draw aggressively isn't advisable when you have a pocket pair because you only gain 2 outs from the possibility of making a set as opposed to 5 outs which you get for the possibility of making trips or pairing your other hole card.
