Default itunes keeps sucking (lagging)

ive been downloading and watching Lost through itunes. what a horribly crapping program. it lags whenever i have itunes not minmized. also, each episode lags the entire way through. is there a way to fix this? or even another place i can buy lost without giving apple any money?

sure it's not a computer problem? (lack of RAM, Celeron processor, or most likely a malware problem?)

personally, I haven't experienced any iTunes lag....never googled the problem. Suggesting malware was a standard knee-jerk reaction...which usually is the case for unusual system slowdowns. There very well could be som eiTunes-specific problem I'm not aware of. *shrug*

Either way...GL!

(What video format are you trying to play?...that may help others offer alternative solutions for players the may not have the same lag problem...I'm not a video expert)

I just came to this forum to make a thread about having the same problem with itunes. It's so bad I can't even have itunes open while I play poker. Any fixes for this? Or any recommendations for a music player that doesn't suck?

The new iTunes tv shows require a certain amount of CPU speed to work correctly. I am not sure what that number is but can no longer watch them on my laptop.

i think i found one reason. do u use multiple monitors? i noticed that when i have a video going in itunes when i have something overlapping onto that monitor it lags hugely. im taking like an AIM window with 1 pixel on the monitor with itunes and it still freaks out. i have 4 monitors and two video cards btw.

For a while, iTunes ran REALLY poorly when I had it on my secondary monitor. That was a couple updates, ago.
