I probably would have bet out on the turn and then depending on the number of callers maybe checked turn to avoid being raised.
Were you worried about being c/r by sb on this board? Is uppose it depends on how bad of a LAG he is, he could just be trying to take a stab at this pot with A high or something. As played I think raise might help knock out one of the other players with a higher club than you but then you might be running into a slowplayed 8 though im not sure howoften that sort of thing happens at this level.

reasoning plz, I think arguments can be made for calling or raising

also what if I had K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]?

I wouldnt count on those guys to bet the flop for you. As played I would call down, you don't need to protect your hand in this tiny pot.

I can't imagine UTG or Button holds a K and didn't raise it PF. You hand is probably best on the flop.

I think sb is F.O.S. as often as he has an eight. You might even have him dominated. If you're behind, you should have 11 clean outs on the sb.

I think raising here is best. If UTG or CO has a big [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], you might as well make them pay to draw, or (though unlikely) price them out of drawing and clean up your flush outs if the action goes bet/raise/fold/fold/3bet.

If you get 3bet anywhere, then you can call and fold the river unimproved with a clean conscience.

The pot is small. I'm more concerned about getting bets in the middle than protecting anything, especially since there's some chance we're drawing slim. I call and see what happens, planning to call the river again UI if no one raises behind me.

depends on the recent dynamic but if SB and you have been tangling a lot lately i think you have to raise and let him spew the max. Having the fish come along drawing dead is nice but there's no guarantee on that anyhow. if SB isn't in "win every pot against yourface" mode then you should probably go for the overcall.

Well, I would have just bet the flop.

Turn I just call. There's only two cards, that you're worried about, and the pot is tiny. You'll get plenty of bad calls from the players behind you.

Bad calls are better (for us) at twice the price, no?
